ABOUT
"A crowd-favorite musician, JT Hillier has made quite the impact on music lovers in Columbus."
JT Hillier is an independent artist based out of Columbus, Ohio. It was Ohio State University’s bar circuit where a 16 year old Hillier began making a name for himself in the local music scene. By the time he could legally buy a drink, he had already established several residencies, headlining at clubs all over campus.
Since then, he has nurtured his sound, blending adult-contemporary pop, rock, folk and soul influences. Inspired by the works of singer-songwriters like John Mayer, Ed Sheeran, Amos Lee, James Blake and Ryan Adams, he accomplishes a modern sonic result all his own.
Twice, Hillier placed in the top 3 at the Columbus Songwriters Association’s Finale Showcase and has been featured in local media publications including 614 Magazine, The Other Paper, Nashville Voyager, Tennessee Highlighter, Bold Journey, Good Day Columbus ABC6 and Fox28 and many others. He has shared the bill with national acts like Eric Hutchinson, One Republic, Switchfoot, and Drake White.
Throughout 2018, he independently released a string of four singles: "The Park," "Home Free," "Don't Fail Me Now" and "Looks Like Rain." His full length debut, "Elevate" was released in November 2019 (re-released in 2025). He would follow this effort with five more, self-produced single releases in the spring of 2023: “In Too Deep,” “On and On,” “Breakaway,” “Your Touch,” and his latest, “Wavves.”
